What the NAR Settlement Means for Buyer Agents

On Tuesday, we gathered our agents for a full-company conversation about NAR's settlement. Our agents were able to ask questions, provide their perspectives, and learn more about the results of the settlement while walking away with a solid idea of how the changes will affect their businesses. At Pemberton Homes, we have always pushed our agents to be better than the status quo and rise above all the noise. That's exactly what we will continue to do.

My firm belief is that agents who can show their value, educate their clients, and communicate effectively with other agents will continue to lead the way and grow their businesses. The buyer agent will not go away. People need guidance as they navigate through the buying process. The changes that will likely roll out are significant, but they should not be viewed as detrimental to your business. Instead, I challenge you to view them

as an opportunity to sharpen your skills and provide more value to your clients.

I also foresee the number of agents in the industry decreasing significantly as a result of unwillingness to adapt to these changes.

If you are someone who is struggling to understand how this settlement can be GOOD for your business, I encourage you to watch our full conversation from Tuesday and schedule a time with me to create a buyer agent strategy that will help you become a better agent for your business and your clients.
